AMS operates its community development program out of Mara West Camp, located on the edge of the Oloololo Escarpment overlooking a vast savannah  dotted with elephant, giraffe, cape buffalo and countless other wildlife. This incredible setting, home to AMS staff, is where volunteers are housed throughout their stay.  Accommodations consist of roomy canvas tents, each with 2 comfortable twin beds, linens, and electricity. The camp has 2 full bathroom complexes (ladies & gents) with flush toilets and hot showers, as well as a spacious lodge where delicious meals are served three times a day and volunteers can socialize together or relax around a campfire.

Economy Bandas

There are 20 Economy Canvas Banda’s in Mara West, each one is very simple, but tastefully furnished with two twin beds, electricity, and a bed stand. Bedding and towels are provided. Guest share the public men’s and women’s bathrooms with hot showers every morning and evening.

Luxury Safari Tents

There are 6 Luxury Safari Tents in Mara West, each one tastefully furnished to provide clients with comfort and luxury. Through the canvas walls you can hear zebras chewing beside the tent and other wildlife in the distance! The tents have two queen size beds, a table, an attractive en suite bathroom and a verandah.

High-end Chalets

There are 8 Luxurious Chalets in Mara West, each one beautifully furnished to provide clients with the comfort and luxury that far surpasses any expectation. Through the canvas walls you can hear the sounds of the bush around you; however, the wooden poles and the lockable glass doors and windows make the nervous feel safe. Each chalet is furnished with 2 queen size beds, sofas, an en suite bathroom and a verandah facing the breathtaking view of the Maasai Mara.
