The exterior walls of the new Outpatient Department are up, and this week we had an amazing team from California and Israel helping build the interior walls. Grateful for every hand, heart, and hour that’s gone into making this space a reality!

This past month, Neonatologist Dr. Rains and OBGYN Dr. Krishingner generously provided continuing education classes for AMS Women’s Health Center staff. The training covered critical concepts in newborn care and obstetric emergencies, with a combination of classroom learning and hands-on scenario practice.
We’re incredibly grateful for their support and dedication to improving maternal and newborn health in the Mara!

Construction is well underway — the foundation and slab have been poured, and the exterior walls are going up! Today’s walkthrough helped us finalize window and door placements and determine electrical outlet locations. It’s getting real!
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has supported this project so far.

This past week a group from the Loma Linda Student Association joined us… they have been hands on - teaching sewing classes, OT development classes at the clinic, how to make mandazis (under the leadership of our MW Chefs!), going to various middle schools teaching the Days for Girls program and construction- building trusses for the middle school and painting the girls dorm at the secondary. Thank you all!!

They accomplished so much together — finishing an additional classroom for Oloosinon Primary School, teaching neonatal resuscitation and obstetric complication classes to our Women’s Health Center team, providing ultrasound scanning training, and spending time with the kids.
We are so grateful for your dedication and support. Thank you for making a difference in our community!

Big changes are happening at the AMS Outpatient Department!
Last week, GCA teamed up with our local AMS crew to begin demolition on the original building, constructed back in 2006. Years of wear—and more than a few bats —made it time for a major upgrade.
The roof is off, and we’re preparing for a large front addition that will include Urgent Care, Emergency Room, HIV, Eye, and Dental Clinics!
Thanks to your generous support, we’ve already raised $105,000 toward our goal. We still need $150,000+ to complete and furnish the project.
